Squat: 155x5, 195x5, 235x5, 255x5, add belt 290x5, 330x5. No extra reps for the last set today.
Single leg press: 135, 180, 225x10 super set with seated calf raise: 135, 160, 175x10.
Bench: Warm up with rotator exercises. Super set warm up sets with pullups: 5,6,7,7. Bar x10, with mini's x10, 105x5, 130x5, 160x5, 170x5, 200x5, 225x5. Again no extra reps for the last set. Nobody showed and had to workout alone. Instead of using the meet results for 5/3/1 I went up from the last mini cycle, this being #4.

Bench: Warmed up with rotator exercises. Pullups super set with bench warm ups 5,6,7,8. Bar x10, with mini's x10, 105x5, 130x5, 160x5, 185x3, 210x3, 240x2. Missed 3rd rep. Was grinding and the spotter grabbed the bar, might of gotten it, might not of. I will do the 5/3/1 portion of this cycle next week and if it doesn't go well back off next cycle. I probably should back off anyway and try to get more reps?

Time to back off on the bench. Missed my set of 5 with 230 badly. Will drop down by 10 lbs next week for the sets of 3. Squat and dead are still holding up. If I don't miss any reps with this cycle I will go up again next cycle.

Squat and bench workout at a crossfit gym in Vero Beach Florida.
They didn't have a rack, only squat stands and no spotter. I didn't do the last 2 heavy squat sets because I didn't feel safe without a rack and watching them run around doing their crazy workout.
Squat: Bar x5, 160x5, 200x5, 240x5, 280x3. Reverse hyper 10x3sets.
Bench: Super set pullups with bench warmups 5,8,9,9. Bar x10, with mini's x10, 100x5, 125x5, 150x5, 175x3, 200x3, 225x4. The bar felt fatter than normal so I'm wondering if I didn't go a little heavier without realizing it?

Going to have to decide if I will use shirt for next weeks meet. That will depend if I can get someone to help me into it.

I'm doing okay Joe! Can't complain! I sorta injured my back a while back and its finally starting to get better. I was originally planning on doing this meet but that flew out the window a few weeks ago. I'll definitely help you out at the meet though, no worries. Rest up man!

Light squat and bench workout today, one week after Lance's meet. My back didn't recover until Wednesday. It started tightening up on the ride home Saturday. All you young guys will experience this soon enough.
Squat: Bar x10, 135x5, 165x5, 205x5, 245x5. Tried out a new pair of Adidas weight lifting shoes with a small heel. Guess I will find out if I like them when I go heavier. I also concentrated on going deeper.
Single leg press 90, 180, 225x10 super set with seated calf raise 135, 160, 180x10.
Bench: Warm up with rotator exercises. Pull ups super set with bench 5,8,8,8,8. Bar x10, with mini's x10, 100x5, 130x5, 155x5. Ram 225x6x2sets. Everything felt heavy. Decline bench 135x10, 185x10x2sets. Incline DB 50x8x3sets. Rear delts on peck deck machine 10x3sets. Push downs 10x3sets.

Bench: Reversed the camber bar to simulate doing boards. Bar plus 60lbs chain x10, added 25lbs each side hanging from bands x10x2sets. The chains and hanging weight made it harder to control the bar. I'll try anything to move the bench.

When you miss a bench where is it usually (off the chest, half way up, at the very top, etc.)?

Off the chest because the weights too heavy...lol. Plus the fact I'm getting old.
